Autumn Contemplative Retreat at the Guild – October 30 – November 6, 2019
Join us this fall for a special inward retreat in the breath taking mountain scenery of Eastern Washington. To learn more about the Grunewald Guild, the most special retreat community we have lived and worked in for the past 16 years, please check here.
Please consider joining us for this one-week deep dive – an opportunity to be at the Guild, to dive deep into the heart of yoga and contemplation, to b quiet and go inward, and to grow and thrive in community.
This week long training will begin on Wednesday evening with a yoga class, dinner and orientation. The next six days will be an opportunity to connect, reflect, and to learn some of the more esoteric and profoundly transformational aspects of yoga and related contemplative and mystic traditions. Retreat ends after brunch (about 11 am) on the following Wednesday.
Each day will begin with silent period from daybreak until 10:30 am to provide a period of inward reflection. During this period, students will attend a 75 minute yoga and meditation class taught by Molly followed by a simple, nourishing, vegetarian breakfast – we are able to accommodate most food restrictions.
1 – 3 pm is time for a large meal with the full group, followed by time to rest, hike, journal, make art, connect, walk the labyrinth, or sit and read in a hammock. From 3 – 6, we engage in more study and movement, and from 6 – 7, we enjoy a light supper. Our 7 – 8 time slot will be filled with vespers created by the students. Silent period begins again at 9, with all lights off at 10.
